Snuffy's Rod Shop part 2

I stopped by this morning with new front and rear fender hardware, piping, grille and miscellaneous hardware. Kevin had the nose replacement, inner and outer sills welded in.

Well it's staring to look like a Car again.

This morning Joann and I took the MGA to Snuffy's Rod Shop in Centerville ,TN. We should have it back fully painted and assembled in 2 months or so. Kevin Smith (Snuffy) is doing a Rostisserie body restoration and paint job. He will use POR 15 on the underside and wheel wells for added rust protection. The color will be Viper Red.

November already????

Well not a lot of progress, so I thought some fresh pictures would be nice. A little powder coating, floor boards stained and varnished ready to install. Fuel pump and gas tank installed. The distributor rebuilt with a positive ground pertronix installed.

Oh almost forgot to mention that the rear springs were reversed end for end so once that was changed the gas tank, and drive shaft fit perfectly! DUHHHHHH.

This past weekend I did a few odds and ends to the motor. Valve cover, thermostat and cover and new intake/exhaust studs and gasket.

Im sending the Dizzy out to Advanced Distributers on Monday for a rebuild.

Well we finally made it! Here are some shots of the garage. It's a little to warm outside to work on the MGA, but fall is just around the corner.

Many new parts are ready to be installed...fuel system and hydraulics. I have the distributor and carbs boxed up and ready to send out for rebuilds.

The Drive Train

Joann and I spent last Saturday stripping the engine getting it ready for paint. With our upcoming move to Nashville we figured it would be easier to move the rolling chassis with the engine and transmission installed.

Next the transmission.

We finished with the rear suspension today. Installing new rear axle bearings and seals.

I have added some additional pictures showing the re-built front and rear shocks. I put the final coat of paint on the steering rack, so tomorrow we plan on doing the front hub bearings and installing the steering rack.
