The Fuel tank is back in, tail lights, front markers and headlights. The boot and bonnet hardware almost complete.
Sandy got Paul sober enough (note the reference to Paul in the December 2009 post) to rebuild the wiper motor (thanks Sandy). Paul was feeling the holiday spirt he only charged me 249.95 plus shipping.
Whats next: wiper motor, master cylinder, complete fuel lines, complete brake and clutch lines. Then wiring!!!!!!!

snuffy's Rod Shop part 5

Kevin (Snuffy) Smith is an artist to say the least. 3 coats of color and 5 coats of clear. Just a few more days to hang the fenders, bonnet, boot and polish. I feel like a kid at Christmas.

Snuffy's Rod Shop part 4

Joann and I picked the frame up this past weekend and I took a couple additional pictures of the body. Kevin will be painting it within the next week.

I have been putting the final touches on some things that are alot easier to reach with the body off. Carbs, Fan, Spin on oil filter adapter, Distributor, Coil and Generator.

Snuffy's Rod Shop part 3

Kevin called and said to stop by and take a few pictures of the car. They are block sanding it now and as you can see in the Pictures she was a wrinkled old British Lady!

Snuffys Rod Shop Part 3

I dropped of some door hardware off to Kevin this morning and snapped some more pictures. He wants to mount it to the frame one more time to double check the alignment. After that we will pick up the frame to finish some hard to reach items.
Barry and I knew the car had been hit and repaired on the nose but check out the last picture....it's really wrinkled. Kevin will weld in new sections on the top panel. The rear had been hit in several places as well but it's hard to see in the photos. I would really like to know more of the history on this thing. Im sure now that it was raced due to the damage and roll bar welds.

Kevin Smith (Snuffy) is doing a Rostisserie body restoration and paint job. He will use POR 15 on the underside and wheel wells for added rust protection. The color will be Viper Red.
